Despite ongoing disagreements on various international issues, dialogue between the two powers continues on certain fronts, aiming to manage areas of mutual interest or concern.
Why it matters
Establishing concrete dates for high-level discussions is a crucial step in diplomatic engagement. It signals a commitment from both sides to engage in substantive dialogue and address important bilateral or international matters.
